Ventia Awards

FAQ’s

  • The Ventia Awards are our way of recognising the talented individuals and teams across our sectors and functions who have redefined service excellence throughout 2023, and who live the Ventia values and brand.

The Awards were originally launched in response to feedback from the very first Have Your Say survey in 2017. Since then, hundreds of our people have been nominated for their contributions.

  • There are five (5) award categories, linked to our strategy, our values and our brand:

    • Safety & Health award

    • Client Focus Award

    • Innovation Award

    • Sustainability Award

    • People Award - the heart of our success

Plus, our very special CEO Award. The CEO Award celebrates an outstanding Ventia team member. This category is not for general entry and will be nominated by the Executive Leadership Team.

See here for detailed criteria information on each Award category.

  • There are a few key changes:

    • The Ventia Awards is linked to the Sector and Group Excellence Awards

    • This year we have a single Awards microsite and nomination form for everyone to use.

    • Team nominations are restricted to 10 members. We encourage you to focus on specific achievements and outcomes and the team members who were instrumental in delivering on this.

    • The nomination period will be open for three weeks, from Monday 16 October to Friday 3 November

    • Each Sector and Group judges their specific nominations and will announce their Excellence Awards finalist and winners

    • Like last year, the winners of each Sector and Group Excellence Awards will be elevated to finalists in the Ventia (enterprise) Awards

    • Sector, Group and Enterprise judging panels will be allowed to determine if there is another category where a nomination or finalist better fits, or might be more successful.

    • All enterprise finalists are invited to come together at a gala celebration dinner in early March where the overall winners will be announced!

  • The awards are open to all direct employees (including Joint Venture employees)

Contractors and sub-contractors cannot be nominated.

All individuals and teams who are nominated will be checked against any disciplinary performance or conduct issues on file

You can nominate an individual or team (of up to 10 people), as long as they meet the awards criteria.

  • By making a nomination, you’ll be helping to recognise and celebrate our people and the great work being done across our business.
